DIA Webinar Recap: Data Insights and Analytics Frameworks

By FSFP

A new year brings a new focus to our monthly webinar partnership with DATAVERSITY. The 2017 series, Data Insights & Analytics, will feature our perspectives on the strategy, framework, technology and practical application of business intelligence and analytics.

More than 180 information management professionals joined our January 5, 2017, webinar, Data Insights and Analytics Frameworks. (A great turnout for our first DIA call!) John Ladley started the call with a definition of an analytics framework: The structure for delivering and getting value out of your data and an architecture for decision-making, including the organizational model.

Then Kelle O’Neal and John took turns outlining the components, concerns, latency, access and usage for common frameworks, as well as sharing use cases for:

  • Big Data
  • Sandbox
  • Real-time analytics
  • Legacy or traditional data insight

To learn more about the use cases and key takeaways from the webinar, listen to the replay or view the slides here.

We hope you’ll join us the first Thursday of each month for the continuation of the DIA series. On future webinars, we’ll cover these topics and more: The Role of a Data Scientist; Governing Quality Analytics; and Descriptive, Prescriptive and Predictive Analytics.
