I’ve played some role in First San Francisco Partners’ trove of online content for almost nine years. I’ve written a few articles with my byline (like these) and have been a supporting player in hundreds of other content pieces.
I’m a hybrid marketer/communicator/data nerd, which makes me a good match for FSFP’s content needs. First, I enjoy helping people discover why FSFP is so exceptional at what it does. Often, this means collaborating with a data consultant on a new blog article or with a partner organization to develop resource material or presentations for an industry event, like the talks Becky Lyons and Stephanie Paradis delivered at DGIQ + AIGOV last week. (Their topics included How to Create a Business Case for Data Governance and Generative AI for Data Governance.)
I also love exploring the back end of FSFP’s site, checking Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for what’s getting found online. Since I bet you’re an analytics fan, too, here’s what I found in GA4 today — a round-up of our most-appreciated content from 2024.
Most-Popular Blog Articles
- Inspire Inclusion on International Women’s Day (IWD): I was pleasantly surprised to see that this article, published last February, was at the top of the list. We’ve covered IWD on this blog before, weaving perspectives about this annual event into other thoughts about women in data-related roles, like data governance, and feature articles profiling many women working for FSFP. (IWD, a yearly event, is held every March 8. Get info on the 2025 IWD event.)
- A Knowledge Worker’s Guide to AI: Unsurprisingly, the article written by Senior Data Governance Consultant Stephanie Paradis (I mentioned her earlier) is in the top three articles for this year. It covers AI and generative AI and explains the role governance plays in supporting data used for AI.
- How Data Governance is Essential to Managing Risk: This older article still garners lots of interest — I suspect due to search terms people use. It dives into why data governance is key for reducing risks and improving decision-making and keeping a business compliant with industry regulations.

Most-Viewed Guides
- Maximize the Value of Your Data Catalog and Governance Investments: Internally, we call this the Collibra launch checklist because of this guide’s easy-to-digest format that spans the pre-purchase stage (3–6 months prior) through post-implementation (6–12 months after launch).
- A Practical Guide to Resolving Data Definition Conflicts: This 21-page resource, authored by Principal Consultant Gretchen Burnham, includes four guiding principles to keep in mind as you address data definition conflicts. (Avoid judgment and question the status quo are two of them.)
- Organizational Change Management for Data-Focused Initiatives: Principal Consultant Becky Lyons, who spoke at DGIQ + AIGOV last week, authored this resource which focuses on two critical roles that support data-related efforts — the executive sponsor and the change champions team.
